What is VAST?

VAST (Video Ad Serving Template) is an XML-based standard developed by the IAB Tech Lab for serving video ads. It enables ad servers to communicate with video players, providing information about which ads to display, tracking URLs, and media files. The current version is VAST 4.2.

Google IMA (Interactive Media Ads) SDK is a comprehensive solution for integrating video ads into websites and apps. It handles VAST parsing, ad playback, and tracking automatically, making it the preferred choice for Google Ad Manager tags.

How to use this tool

Select your ad client (VAST for direct parsing, or Google IMA)
Enter your VAST/VMAP tag URL or click a sample tag button
Click "Test Ad" to fetch and play the ad
Monitor the Debug Log for detailed information
